The oneiric world, or the world of dreams, is fascinating and filled with symbolism. When our subconscious goes to work, it often gets carried away. That?s when our mind begins to entertain a series of events or images that we might otherwise be incapable of imagining. Children develop this activity or facet in a special way. Their innocence and fantasy permit them to conjure up things and events that no adult could possibly imagine, let alone understand. Since this intellectual activity is necessary throughout life, and is especially essential to proper development during childhood and youth, we consider it opportune to stimulate and favor this personal development from an educational point of view, using appropriate texts. In this case, we have chosen to do so through poems that children will find very attractive, especially since their protagonists are characters that kids love: animals. Through these poems, this book aims to encourage an appreciation of musical sounds and lyricism, through which children can discover many different facets of life on their own. This poetry selection recreates a world in which animals can dream. Through the dreams of these animal protagonists, children will discover the wonderful world of poetry.
